Justin has nearly 20 years of experience in structured finance.
Justin is a 1985 cum laude graduate of Western New England College
School of Law, where he was Editor-in Chief of the Law Review. Justin
has a broad range of experience in commodities and business law,
having begun his practice with the Hartford , Connecticut , based
firm of Day, Berry & Howard, the largest law firm in New England
. In 1991 he opened the Hartford office of Edwards & Angell,
a large law firm headquartered in Providence Rhode Island . Rhode
Island , due to its large jewelry industry, and the creativity of
several bankers at the former Rhode Island Hospital Trust National
Bank, was and continues to be a leader in the precious metals industry.
Edwards & Angell, due to its dominance in the Rhode Island legal
market, maintained a practice in this industry. Justin began working
in this practice area in 1994, and gradually grew the practice to
become one of the leading lawyers in the metals industry. In 1999,
he joined Gerald Metals in Stamford , Connecticut as General Counsel
and merchant banker.
Justin left Gerald Metals at the end of September, 2001 to re-establish
his commodities practice at Day, Berry & Howard in Hartford and
Stamford , and to develop, with Jim and Mark, the concept that has
become Auramet. Justin represented traders, merchants, banks, producers
and consumers of both hard and soft commodities, in virtually all
aspects of the business from production and trade finance to equity
raising and asset recovery.
